At a Glance

  • Two registration paths: Register with your license or Register as guest.
  • You must confirm your email to activate the account.
  • On first login, choose your sign-in method: MFA with OTP app, MFA via email, or No MFA (not recommended).
  • If registering with a license, you must enter the Serial Number and Issue Date & Time exactly as shown in the license file.

1) Start your registration

  1. Open the myAMDT landing page and click Sign-up.

On the User Registration screen, choose:

  • Register with your license – if your company already owns octoplant licenses and you have the license details, or
  • Register as guest – if you want to explore myAMDT now and attach a license later.

2) Option A — Register as Guest

  1. Fill out your Personal information (First name, Last name, Country; optional: Telephone, Company, Website).
  2. Under Credentials, enter your Email, set a Password, and repeat the password.
  3. Enable I accept the Terms and Conditions (required).
    • Optional: I agree to receive marketing information.
  4. Complete the CAPTCHA and click Create profile now.
  5. Check your inbox and confirm the email to activate your account.

First login (MFA choice):
After confirmation, sign in and select one of the following:

  • MFA with OTP app (recommended; best security and fewest interruptions)
  • MFA via email
  • Disable MFA (not recommended)
Tip: You can change your MFA method later in Account / Security.

3) Option B — Register with an existing license

  1. Fill out Personal information and Country as above.
  2. Under License information, enter:
    • Serial Number (license number)
      • Important: Do not add a space at the end. Trailing spaces are not trimmed and will cause validation to fail.
    • Serial number issue date and time exactly as shown in your license file.
      • Click “How to find my license information?” for a quick guide.

Time format caution:
The license file shows time in 24-hour format. Depending on your locale, the form’s time field might use 12-hour (AM/PM). Make sure the hour you enter matches the 24-hour value (e.g., 13:30 → 1:30 PM).
  1. Under Credentials, set your Email and Password, accept Terms and Conditions, complete the CAPTCHA, then click Create profile now.
  2. Confirm your email to activate the account, then select your MFA method on first login.

4) Troubleshooting

Didn’t receive the confirmation email?

  • Check your Spam/Junk folder.
  • Verify the email address in the form and request a new confirmation if needed.

License validation failed?

  • Re-enter the Serial Number and ensure there is no trailing space.
  • Double-check the Issue Date/Time and convert correctly between 24-hour (license file) and 12-hour (AM/PM) input if your browser uses 12-hour time.
  • Use the “How to find my license information?” button to confirm you’re using the correct values.

CAPTCHA not accepted?

  • Refresh the CAPTCHA and try again; ensure your browser allows scripts and images on the page.

MFA choice unclear?

  • We strongly recommend MFA with an OTP app for best security. You can change this later in your account settings.

5) FAQ

Can I register as guest and add a license later?
Yes. After logging in, attach your license via My Licenses (or User Management, depending on your permissions).

Is disabling MFA allowed?
Yes, but it is not recommended for security reasons.

Where do I find the license details?
Click “How to find my license information?” on the license registration form to see where the Serial Number and Issue Date/Time appear in the license file.
