octoplant and octovision are NOT affected by CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619.

Neither product uses PHP. No action is required on your part, and no octoplant or octovision update or patch is needed.

Background

On October 21, 2026, the PHP project released security updates for two critical vulnerabilities in the PHP runtime:

  • CVE-2026-109618: memory corruption when PHP runs out of memory during request initialization
  • CVE-2026-109619: use-after-free in PHP’s request-state cleanup

Both vulnerabilities have a CVSS v4.0 base score of 9.2 and can allow unauthenticated remote code execution on web servers running affected PHP versions. Fixes are included in PHP 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36 and 8.2.35.

Please note

  • If PHP is installed on the same server or in the same environment for other applications, such as a web server or third-party software, that installation may be affected. We recommend checking your PHP version and updating to a fixed release in line with your internal patch process.
  • In general, we strongly recommend always running the latest version of our software. Security patches and fixes are always provided for the latest release and latest LTS release only, so older versions may not receive them.
